Jelly – Work, chat, collaborate….
It was very busy at The Lodge at Dearnford Lake on Jelly Day but there was still plenty of space for co-working at Whitchurch Jelly which is held there on the third Thursday of the month. Several people I know often take their laptop and work in the cafe as a change from working at home and enjoy great coffee, tea and cakes overlooking the lake.
Whitchurch Jelly is free to attend and open to anyone – so if you fancy a day with a difference join us next month for a coffee or lunch 10.00 am – 4.00 pm – you don’t have to stay all day.
Lots of things are happening at Dearnford – home to Drumhead Cottage plants (you can find some beautiful perennials – and advice on planting them – and autumn bulbs) as well as open water swimming, collectors fairs and open air Shakespeare.
Dearnford events coming up: 4th October is the next Classic Car meeting and don’t forget the most amazing fireworks display over the lake on 5th November. Visit www.dearnford.com for details.
In the meantime, the next car boot sales and collectors fairs are on:
13th September – proceeds to Whitchurch Hospital League of Friends
and 27th September – proceeds to Blackberry Fair which is being held on the weekend of 1st, 2nd and 3rd October. If you would like to help make this year’s fair extraordinary they are looking for ordinary people to share their talents.
Blackberry Fair needs local artisans – artists, sculptors, gardeners, chefs, poets, musicians, storytellers, anyone who would like to share their passion, hobby or interest – or sell local produce.
